John Wesley had learned on important thing in Georgia. He had learned that he who crossed the Atlantic to convert others, was himself unconverted, and therefore in a lamentable state spiritually.
It is wonderful to see all the ways that God the Holy Spirit worked in Wesley, drawing him to the place where he would trust in Christ alone for salvation, and obtain what the Moravians called the "witness in himself".

Wesley, as a young man went to minister in Georgia, but found himself out not to be a Christian, at all. In this reading we see the famous episode, in which, during a tumultuous storm, Wesley is astonished by the calm of the Christian Moravians who were on board.

David Mackereth is a medical doctor, who now preaches the Gospel, full time, particularly in the open air, but also on the internet. David became a Christian in 1982, whilst studying medicine at the University of St Andrews, in Scotland. From 1990 to 1992 David studied at the London Theological Seminary in Finchley, North London. This college was set up by Dr Martyn Lloyd Jones to train men for the Christian ministry.
